Burnin is cumulative so the longer they watched it, it all adds up and every blip above 50 brightness makes it worse. ![]() That CNN HUD is the worst offender and its red and white, OP said the part burned in was Red. Their interface allows you to switch weeks and colours. So Rtings found burnin of the CNN "hud" in Magenta after 4 weeks of 20 hours per day, which is all told 560 hrs so if OP watched the channel "maybe 6 hours a week" and one has to assume everyone underestimates these things unless you're actually keeping track (no offence meant), make it 8-10 hours a week for a year thats 400-520 hrs, its not that far of a stretch. Logo of a station watched maybe 6 hours a week.
